Training “Stay alive” at the Forum on Industrial Safety

Focus on zero accidents in industry

Training «Stay alive or five steps towards zero accidents through employees’ attitude to safety» was conducted within the framework of the XVI International Forum on Industrial Safety. The training took place as part of the session «Occupational safety and health: trends and prospects», BNA reported.

Denis Kuzmin, Head of Safety Awareness Direction of Business Relations, was the training leader. He studied three cases on occupational safety and culture.

The attendants were divided into three teams. The participants were then asked to list their recommendations on occupational safety for foremen on production sites, to make suggestions on changing the current situation with respect to accidents and to come up with tips for OSH supervisors about how to become «a pal» for their co-workers.

The International Forum on Industrial Safety is held in St. Petersburg every year. In 2018, it is the 16th time. This year the Forum venue is Hilton Hotel St. Petersburg Expoforum. The conference was attended by more than 170 people from different states. The organizer is GCE Group.

Forum participant’s opinion

«What I can see from the first session is that the programme is on a high level. Some of the leading enterprises and organization present and contribute to this forum. There are so many laws, regulations, paragraphs, but sometimes everything a miner needs is to use his brain and practical training he has got in company. I hope that in the future we will be able to co-organize such event as this Forum with GCE as equals.»
