Italian company Saipem S.p.A. will report during XII International Forum on Industrial Safety

27.03.2014

Saipem S.p.A. delegation will be headed by its General Director, Mr. Umberto Vergine. He will report on industrial safety particularities in terms of «Nord Stream Project» implementation. One of the Saipem top experts in pipelines designing, Roberto Bruschi, is planning to participate either.

«Saipem S.p.A.» is one of the global leaders in oil and gas sector, providing engineering and technical support for offshore pipeline projects. The company participated in installation of two Nord Stream undersea gas pipelines. The pipelines were laid in the Baltic Sea for natural gas supply from Russia to Europe. The contract for pipeline section construction through the Black Sea basin to Central and Southern Europe was signed in March 2014.

We would like to remind that XII International Forum on Industrial Safety is taking place in St.Petersburg, from 27 to 30 of May, 2014. The Forum is one of the global remarkable events for industrial safety experts. GCE Group is the event mover and organizer. Forum participant’s opinion

«All over the Forum I discussed with other specialists future activities arising from the problems mentioned here. At the moment the Forum is very much fixed on problems with industrial safety in Russia and neighboring countries like Kazakhstan, Belorussia and so on. But we need to open it more for international standards.

Nearly every presentation was to some extent interesting for me, for example the methodologies for risk assessment, because this is also the topic in European Union constraints. But also the topics which are far away from problem fields in Germany, problems with pipelines, for instance. These topics are really new for me, and normally, I didn’t have knowledge about this.

The organizational level of event was very high and I don’t want to complaint anything. I have one proposal concerning information transfer – presentation interpretation by two interpreters is not enough. I would like also to have presentations in two languages – Russian and English. It is too much for an interpreter to transform all the information and slides, so some people were not able to understand the language».
