Delegation of the Russian Federation Pension Fund is participating in XIV International Forum on Industrial Safety

07.04.2016

Industrial Safety Forum is the largest platform where top experts share experience in man-made accidents and natural disasters prevention and response. The main target of the event supported by The Russian Federation Government and the Ministry for natural Resources and Environment, CIS Executive Committee, the United Nations Organization and IAEA is enhancement of international cooperation in the area of industrial safety.

One of the Forum’s sections will be dedicated to occupational safety tendencies and perspectives. Irina Subbotina, Manager of Professional Pension Systems Department will focus on practical aspects of early insurance old-age pensions for people working in hard and harmful conditions. Participants of this section will also discuss Federal Law 421-FZ (“Amendments to legal acts of the Russian Federation related to the Federal Law on Special Assessment of Labor Conditions”), specifics of preferential pension application for employees working in harmful conditions and other occupational safety issues.

Forum participant’s opinion

«All over the Forum I discussed with other specialists future activities arising from the problems mentioned here. At the moment the Forum is very much fixed on problems with industrial safety in Russia and neighboring countries like Kazakhstan, Belorussia and so on. But we need to open it more for international standards.

Nearly every presentation was to some extent interesting for me, for example the methodologies for risk assessment, because this is also the topic in European Union constraints. But also the topics which are far away from problem fields in Germany, problems with pipelines, for instance. These topics are really new for me, and normally, I didn’t have knowledge about this.

The organizational level of event was very high and I don’t want to complaint anything. I have one proposal concerning information transfer – presentation interpretation by two interpreters is not enough. I would like also to have presentations in two languages – Russian and English. It is too much for an interpreter to transform all the information and slides, so some people were not able to understand the language».
